Kentucky Ministries

The community ministries movement got started here in the mid-1960's, came of age following the Tornado in 1974, and united as the Association for Community Ministries (ACM) in the early 1990's. Most of the 15 community ministries of greater Louisville provide emergency shelter and other assistance, such as information and referral, life skills counseling, food pantry, clothes closet, job networking, emergency rent/mortgage and utilities assistance, and the like.
